This may be my favorite course in Ga. The views are tremendous and the layout is a challenge. It has longish par 4's great par 3's and one great par 5 (no. 16)along the lake then over the water to a green with water front left and right. The drive must be in the narrow fairway and if you hit it long enough and near the lake on the right, a well struck 200yd (all carry) shot can get you there in two. The layup shot must be accurate as well to insure a good angle and wedge play. It is a 1 1/2hr drive for me so I don't play as often as I would like to. The only con I have is number 10 which is always cartpath only and being a senior with a bad back, the walk gives me trouble. It's parralell to the entrance road and they want to keep it looking as good as possible is the only reason I can think of for the Cartpath only status. Otherwise, it is a wonderful course to play, just don't expect it shoot your lowest round here.

THe greens were a little rough as they had recently been aerated

Several greens are still stressed by the summer heat and number 15 is terrible. Their fairways and tees are excellent.
